Vestibular rehabilitation therapy deals with the diagnosis and treatment of vertigo caused by disorders of the vestibular system.

This complex system includes the parts of the brain and inner ear responsible for eye motor function and balance control. This vertigo is often recognized late and not treated correctly. Frequently occurring diseases of the vestibular system are, for example, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), vestibular neuritis or Meniere’s disease.

Treatment of vestibular vertigo and balance disorders

After a specialist doctor has made the diagnosis that applies to you, visit our centre, and make an appointment.

Together with our qualified therapists, we will find an individual solution for you to treat your balance disorder and the underlying disease.

If the vestibular organ is weak, it is important to train the brain and its connections in such a way that it is possible to compensate for the reduced function.

This workout is created from complex movements of the eyes, head, and entire body.

As a result of an accident, a blow to the head or diseases of the inner ear, ear stones can move from their original position into the semicircular canals of the vestibular system. There, the crystals then move back and forth with every head movement. The wrong signals then arrive in the brain, which lead to dizziness.

To treat positional vertigo, we use special freeing maneuvers to correct the position of the small stones or crystals (otoliths or statoliths). The brain, in turn, processes these signals, so that your orientation in space will be perfect again.

You are welcome to make an appointment with us for a consultation on vertigo and balance disorders.
